Better
As I mentioned last post, I screwed up my knee pretty bad. After many weeks of wearing a brace and taking it relatively easy, I think I'm over the worst of it. It's healing quickly enough, and well enough, that I don't think it's an ACL or meniscus injury. Probably just a nasty sprain that pulled the heck out of everything inside.
I picked up paperwork for American Medical Response to go to work for the local branch, but have held off filling them out since they require an endurance test that includes a step test. I knew my knee wouldn't hold up for three minutes of climbing stairs, but I'm starting to think it'll be okay. Went back to drill at the fire department last night for the first time in weeks, and handled it okay, despite a couple stair climbs in full gear to "rescue" downed firefighters.
Maybe I'm overly optimistic, but like Mary Tyler Moore, I think I'm gonna make it after all.
