"The most complicated joint in the human body..."

Screwed up my knee a couple weeks ago playing in the snow. I wish I could say I'd done it doing something heroic, like saving someone from a burning building, but I was just playing around. Went to stand up, heard a pop, pain, swelling.

Anyway, since it wasn't an on-the-job injury, I have no insurance, so I've held off seeing a doc. Went in today, got x-rays, blah, blah, blah, and it's probably not the ACL but may be a torn meniscus. Supposed to do conservative treatment (ice, brace, limited activity), then follow up in a couple weeks. If need be, I'll go in then for an MRI (which is about $950 out of my pocket, hence my reluctance to do so) to see if it needs surgery.
