One Down, Six to Go

Finished the first term of the RN program today. The 100-question theory final was this morning; scored 93% on it, giving me an estimated A- (93%) on the course overall. Got a great review on my clinical evaluations from my clinical instructor. If I had it with me, I'd post an excerpt, but it's elsewhere at the moment. (Actually, I'm typing this entry from the college, due to a severe lack of students to tutor at the moment).

So now I have a little less than two weeks of no-school. Going to try and finish getting signed off on my Firefighter proficiencies that I neglected when the term started, and will be going to Game Storm in Portland this coming weekend. Outside of that, I'm hoping for a whole lotta nuttin' between now and Nursing 102.

The LPN part of the program is only four terms long, so I keep reminding myself I'm 1/4 of the way there. Then the RN is three more on top of that. Hence, one term down, six more to go. I'll be sitting for the RN NCLEX boards almost exactly two years from now.

Geh, that sounds like a long time. Let's shoot for the LPN in a year, and see how that goes. It's much more palatable in small bites...
